A Guide for Developing Family Planning Messages for Women in the First Year Postpartum

This guide is designed mainly to help programs adapt messages for home visits and community-based settings. When you create messages, you will need to make sure that they are consistent with the messages being used by health centers in your community. There are many types of health center and community-based settings where PPFP messages can be useful, including: Health facility-based services (family planning, antenatal care, labor and delivery, postpartum/postnatal care), home- and community-based programs (safe delivery, maternal care, newborn care and child survival), and community-based family planning distribution programs.
