Health Financing Diaries: Determining the Appropriate Financing Tool

Health finance diaries represent an innovative way to better understand how the poor finance their health care costs; high frequency data are collected from households to identify how they finance health care when individuals are ill and whether they forgo or delay seeking care. This methodology can be used to develop health financing tools that better meet the needs of the poor. This presentation was made at the PSWG Quarterly Meeting on February 6, 2013.
