Private Insurers-Private Providers Workshop Report

On November 22, 2012, SHOPS facilitated a meeting for private insurers and private providers in Nairobi, Kenya to brainstorm strategies to increase the reach of private health insurance. Discussions were informed by technical presentations and a question and answer session that led to group debates. The participants concluded with a commitment to continued dialogue between private insurers and private providers through their associations. They also pledged to ensure private sector participation in discussions of the National Health Financing Strategy.
