An analysis of 14 Demographic and Health Surveys reveals that wealthier women are more likely than poorer women to use long-acting or permanent contraceptive methods (LA/PMs). In contrast, in South Asian countries, wealthier women are more likely than poorer women to use short-acting methods. Finally, among LA/PM users, wealthier women are more likely than poorer women to obtain their method through the private sector. This poster was presented by Jorge Ugaz at the Population Association of America's annual meeting in April 2014.
