This presentation describes the myths surrounding the private sector provision of health services in Africa with a focus on how the private sector is beginning to develop a larger role in the provision of medical education. It includes some of the lessons learned from current efforts to provide medical education through the private sector. The presentation was given as part of a panel discussion at a capacity summit held by the Regional AIDS Training Network in March 2013.
