Increasing Public-Private Engagement through mHealth

Pamela Riley, senior mhealth advisor, leads the SHOPS project’s efforts to leverage mobile phone technology to improve health outcomes. Mobile applications for health (mhealth) offer cost-effective solutions that can address resource gaps and strengthen communications among all stakeholders in a health system. Mobile platforms can also facilitate engagement between public and private sectors, making it easier to share data. In this video, Riley discusses the importance of mobiles in health programs and how SHOPS has used them in its activities.
