Innovating Rural Health Service Delivery

As the co-founder and managing director of Innopia Electromechanical Solutions in Ethiopia, Getachew Teshome aims to bring primary health care and emergency medical services to remote areas by building solar-powered mobile clinics. With support from the HANSHEP Health Enterprise Fund, Innopia is refurbishing standard trucks with medical furniture, laboratory equipment, information and communication technologies, and a solar power supply. They can also be used as an ambulance for complicated pregnancies and other emergencies. In this video, Teshome describes how he founded Innopia, and what he hopes to achieve with the mobile clinics.
