Philippines Private Health Sector Assessment

SHOPS Plus conducted an assessment on the private health sector in the Philippines. This assessment identifies opportunities and provide recommendations for USAID/Philippines to support increased delivery of modern family planning services, especially for Filipino youth and adolescents, through the private sector. The assessment was a five step process that included a desk-based review of the literature and secondary data analysis and in-country data collection thorough 60 key informant interviews and nine focus groups. The report concludes with specific recommendations for strengthening private sector provision of family planning services.
