This report documents the mapping of private sector resources for health in St. Kitts and Nevis. The mapping exercise gathered information through structured interviews with private health facilities, pharmacies, laboratories, diagnostic facilities, dental facilities, nursing homes, and NGOs providing HIV and AIDS and/or reproductive health services. Feedback from private sector respondents suggests that coordination efforts are necessary but have proven largely difficult in the past. The report highlights several key points critical to the sustainability of St. Kitts and Nevis’ health and HIV and AIDS responses and provides public and private sector stakeholders with a better understanding of the private health sector’s capacity. The results of the mapping activity present an opportunity for renewed efforts from both public and private sectors to build on the increasing body of knowledge around the health system, foster coordination, and identify promising areas of collaboration and partnership.
