Webinar: Harnessing the total market for contraception - Why it matters where women go (recording)

SHOPS Plus hosted a webinar on "Harnessing the total market for contraception - Why it matters where women go” on May 7, 2020.

The webinar provided an in-depth look at public and private sectors' contributions to family planning and implications for accelerating progress towards national and global family planning goals.

Understanding where women obtain their contraceptives can help family planning programs improve contraceptive access, increase method choice, and more efficiently allocate limited resources. SHOPS Plus analyzed Demographic and Health Survey data from 36 low- and middle-income countries, including all USAID Population and Reproductive Health and FP2020 countries with a survey since 2012, to examine contraceptive sources and how sources vary by method, geography, age, marital status, and socioeconomic status.
