Zimbabwe's ProFam: Delivering Affordable Reproductive Health Options

ProFam, a network now consisting of 1,143 private health clinics in Zimbabwe, has helped increase hormonal contraceptive use among Zimbabweans despite their rapidly declining economic status. During the ProFarm intervention period from 1998 to 2003, the hormonal contraceptive market in Zimbabwe (mostly the public and social marketing sectors) has grown by 60% while ProFam helped increase PSI/Zimbabwe's share of that market to almost 10%.
