Boîte à outils : Élargir l’accès aux contraceptifs injectables dans les pharmacies (Modèle PowerPoint)

In the 69 FP2020 focus countries, one in five married women of reproductive age has an unmet need for modern contraceptive methods. Task-sharing, or the sharing of certain responsibilities between health workers at different levels, is a promising strategy for countries facing this problem. World Health Organization (WHO) guidelines on task sharing recommend that injectable contraceptives be administered by pharmacists. Despite these recommendations, pharmacists in many countries are unable to administer injectable contraceptives due to policies that prohibit pharmacists and drug vendors from providing “medical services,” which includes administering injectable contraceptives. . This discrepancy between WHO and country policies provides an opportunity to advocate for expanding the scope of expertise of pharmacists. This toolkit contains resources designed to help pharmacy associations become effective advocates and start working to change policy in their country. This PowerPoint template is to be used for making presentations to key stakeholders.
