Our Health and Peace of Mind through Family Planning

This poster describes a behavior change communication campaign implemented by the SHOPS project in Jordan that aimed to:

  • improve understanding of oral contraceptive pills as safe and effective methods for couples who wish to space their children and plan their family size
  • boost market demand for oral contraceptive pills among married women between 18 and 34 who are interested in spacing births and/or controlling their fertility.

Results from the campaign include an increase in the number of oral contraceptive pills sold in private pharmacies during the campaign period when compared with sales from the previous year. This poster was presented by Gael O'Sullivan at the 2013 World Social Marketing Conference in Toronto.
